Lyrical Singing
Tiziana Fabbricini, soprano, was born in Asti. From a very young age she dedicated herself to the study of the piano and then of singing. After winning some competitions for young voices: 1982 Winner of the Mattia Battistini Competition in Rieti for the debut of Verdi's opera "La Traviata" in the role of Violetta Valery; 1987 Winner of the Experimental Competition of Alessandria for the debut of the opera "Lucia di Lammermoor" by Gaetano Donizetti; 1989 Winner of the "Puccini" Competition in Milan. In 1990 she made her debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan as Violetta Valery in G. Verdi's La Traviata conducted by M° R. Muti. It was called "La Traviata" of the nineties. The great success opened the doors to an important international career.
She has sung in all the greatest theatres in the world (Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Metropolitan in New York, Staatsoper Wien, Theatre des Champes Elysée in Paris, Opera in Rome, San Carlo in Naples, Grand Opera in Houston, Bayerisher opera in München, Staatsoper in Berlin, Staatsoper in Bonn, Staatsoper in Hamburg, Grand Opera in Lyon, Grand Theatre de Genève, Teatro Margherita in Genoa, Bunka Kai in Tokyo, Opera Pacific Cista Mesa in Los Angeles, ...); also dedicating himself to a valuable concert activity.
He worked under the guidance of great directors such as L. Cavani, R. Carsen, H. Hermann, F. Zeffirelli A. Pieralli; of important conductors, including C. Abbado, P. Maag, Z. Metha, A. Pappano, R. Chailly, A. Zedda, A. Ceccato, Sir Charles Mackerras. F.Luisi, M.Viotti. P. Fourniller, R. Rizzi, Brignoli, R. Abbado, A. Allemandi. Other important successes see her as the protagonist of operas such as: II Turco in Italia, II Viaggio a Reims, Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Giovanni, Anna Bolena, M. Stuarda, Macbeth, Tosca, Manon Lescaut, La Medium, The Turn of the Screw, La voix Humaine., Carmen, A Lecouvreur, Cavalleria Rusticana, A.Chenier. He has performed some works in world premieres.
She has recorded DVDs and CDs: Verdi's "La Traviata" in the role of VIOLETTA for SONY; "Arianna in Naxos" by Porpora for BONGIOVANNI; Verdi's "Attila" for CHICCO RECORD (dist. POLIGRAM). LA NAPOLI MILIONARIA by N. Rota, DVD Produced by Festival Della Valle D'Itria.
For some years he has dedicated himself to teaching musical and interpretative improvement. For 12 years, from 2003 to 2015, he held annual specialization courses for the winners of the AS Competition. LI.CO. At the Teatro Sociale in Como; in 2010-2011 she collaborated with the Singing Academy of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna and with the Academy of Bel Canto "Rodolfo Celletti" of Martina Franca. From 2016 to 2018 she held courses in Donizetti Vocality for the Donizetti Theatre in Bergamo.
From 2019 to 2022 she is a teacher of CANTO COD123 for AFAM courses at the Conservatory of Bergamo and since November 2023 at the A. Vivaldi State Conservatory in Alessandria.
In 2024 she will be the new teacher of Lyrical Singing at the DEI MESTIERI DELL'OPERA - AMO academy of the Carlo Coccia Theater in Novara.
