The eighteen young people selected to participate in the 11th Edition of the “Guido Cantelli” International Conducting Award come from Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Great Britain, Singapore, Taiwan, Belarus and United States. The conductors were chosen based on the curriculum and video performances among 206 candidates. The competition’s assignments will take place between 8 and 11 September at the Teatro Regio in Turin on the podium of the theatre’s Orchestra, while on September 12 – again in Turin – will occur the first round of the finals. On 13 September it will be the turn of the second and final round of the finals in Novara.
